CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF FUNDRAISING FOR THE RNLI
“FUND OUR FUEL FINAL REPORT”
Throughout 2019 the Hessle Branch of the RNLI has been undertaking this special fundraising campaign to raise monies towards the Humber Lifeboat’s marine diesel fuel which on average costs the station at Spurn Point around £36000 per year.
Initially the Branch set a target of £3000-£4000 as this money had to be raised in addition to our general RNLI fundraising throughout the year. The campaign has now been closed and the Branch is delighted to be able to report that the final figure for the Fund Our Fuel Campaign stands at
£12660.09
We were very pleased to be able to present a cheque for this amount to Mark Branton the station manager at our recent Quiz Night Held in the All Saints Church Hall Hessle
To all who have supported our efforts throughout 2019 whether it was through a donation, filling our “Betty’s Jam Pots” with 5p’s, entering our quiz competition , supporting our Brass Band Concert, buying our special pens, lanyards and pencils – the end result has far exceeded our expectations
