Because of the current state of affairs
with the COVID !9 pandemic and because of the directions received from the
RNLI nationally all of the Branch's planned face to face fundraising
activities for the rest of the year have been cancelled.
A decision on the annual Quiz Night in
January will be made by the end of the month - at this stage it is highly
unlikely that will take place as planned.
HESSLE BRANCH RNLI
JUST GIVING PAGE
It now appears likely that all
the Branch's fundraising activities planned for the rest of the year will
not now take place because of the Covid 19 situation.
This is happening at the same time as the RNLI is experiencing the largest
number of callouts in its history. To try and provide a boost to the
charity's fundraising efforts the RNLI's North and East Region have
organised a coordinated Just Giving Campaign and the Hessle Branch has now
got its ownpage.
Please taketime to look
at the page and make people aware of it and if you are able to make a
donation that would providea
great boost for
the Lifeboat Service in these
difficult times. Please follow the link
The new series of Saving Lives
At Sea is being broadcast on a Thursday evening at 8.00pm on BBC2 - the
first programme is on Thursday 17th September
CHRISTMAS CARDS AND
The Branch will have no
Christmas Cards, calendars or diaries available this year as the RNLI
focuses on keeping its on line shop and those lifeboat shops which have been
opened fully stocked. If you would like to make a purchasethen please either order on line throughshop.rnli.orgor you can
visit the shops at Bridlington, andWhitby. (please note the stations are not open
to the public and because of events changing rapidly it would be advisable
to ring beforehand to check opening times)
